Where we might start
For some, the word holistic can feel vague or overcomplicated, although connecting with your body doesn’t have to be abstract. In our first few sessions, we’ll keep things simple, practical, and tailored to you. Here’s how we might start…
-
If finding stillness feels important to you, we can begin with gentle breathing and meditation, noticing any thoughts or feelings that arise.
It’s a simple way to ground our sessions and create space for the mind and body to come into harmony. -
If you’re looking to ease tension and re-energise, we can focus on stretching and mindful movement.
By gently opening up the body and exploring ways to move with comfort, we release resistance, improve mobility, and invite more strength and vitality without intense strain. -
We can take a look at nutrition, daily routines, and positive outlets. We can find ways that work for you to elevate your mindset and lifestyle.
How it began for me
I grew up near the coast and the woods after my mum moved us out of London. Most weekends were spent outside, walking along the shore, exploring the forest, and climbing trees. That’s where my love for nature began, and it’s been part of my everyday life ever since.
Through my dad’s Hindu faith and my Christian schooling, I had an early glimpse into prayer, meditation, and the many ways people find stillness and grounding. I felt like I was able to see both sides and find beauty in the different traditions and rituals people used to deepen their connection.
After moving back to London and spending almost a decade in a fast-paced corporate job, I realised I was living against my own blueprint. My body had been sending me signals for years, and I finally started to listen.
Over time, I saw that movement and stillness aren’t separate. Being ambitious and slow, didn’t have to live apart. Some days my body calls for quiet, other days it needs to move. Following that rhythm has been one of my biggest shifts and greatest achievements.
Being diagnosed with endometriosis when I was young was another turning point. After two surgeries with little success, I started to approach things differently. Slowing down, discovering natural remedies, and listening. It’s changed how I live with it, and my body now feels like somewhere I can trust again.
Gratitude to my teachers
I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my incredible network of people. There have been many influential figures who have guided me on my journey to help others. Jaisri is a huge part of my support system. Her wisdom and presence continue to light the way as I strive to make a difference in my life and those around me. We met during my Vipassana course in Tiruvannamalai in 2024.
Jasri often volunteers and participates in Vipassana meditation near her home in Tamil Nadu. She has spent her life dedicated to yoga and the purest form of its education. She often hosts breathing, meditation and yoga workshops online.
